🚨 BREAKING: Vital afterschool and summer programs are at risk. As of July 1, states have not received their federally allocated 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) funds — putting 10,000 programs and 1.4 million students in jeopardy. These funds were passed by Congress, signed into law, and were expected to be available this month — but are now being delayed with no timeline or explanation. 📣 We need your voice. Call on your Governor, congressional reps, and Attorney General to urge the White House to release these funds immediately. Our students and families can’t wait. #SaveAfterschool #21stCCLC #FundAfterschoolNow #AfterSchoolAllStars #SupportOurStudents #AdvocateForYouth Click link to support! https://lnkd.in/gACawxR7

In collaboration with Alliance Marc & Stern Math and Science School, we are happy to share that we were 1 of 5 sites to be awarded a $60K grant from Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation (GLAEF), in partnership with LACOE’s Expanding Learning Technical Assistance Unit (ELTAU) and Education First, to support innovative and creative approaches to support secondary students through enrichment and expanded learning programs. Sites will be further supported throughout the year with evaluation, and strategic communication efforts that will translate into ongoing advocacy to maintain and build support for continued investment in expanded learning. We’re excited for this partnership and cannot wait to begin!
