This week, we co-hosted an event with our portfolio company, Aircela, at New York Climate Week, organized by the Climate Group.   On the rooftop of their NYC office, the Aircela team showcased how their air-to-gasoline process works.⛽ Here are some great insights into the technology: 🔸 Each machine currently produces about one gallon of gasoline every 24 hours, removing 10 kilograms of CO2 from the atmosphere for each gallon produced 🔸 Aircela is working toward mass production of its machines. Designed to be assembled in modular parts, the machines can be scaled without the need for large, centralized facilities. 🔸 The technology is fully built. Now, it is about proving performance at commercial scale, optimizing production, and building customer confidence. Thank you to everyone who made it, and we're excited to see what's coming. It shouldn’t be called Climate Week. It should be called #FutureWeek, because that’s what I saw. Now, shall we go and take a peep into the future?… On behalf of Stoneweg US, LLC this week in NYC I: ✨ Shared my experience and thoughts on the future at the HOK offices at an event sponsored by GRESB and Longevity Partners along with Reid Morgan, Richard Cooper, & Dana Robbins Schneider ✨ Sat up front with Ryan Cohen from Audette for a NVIDIA AI conversation on #Energy and #Sustainability of AI and data centers. ✨ Attended a rooftop lab demo with Aircela, which builds modular machines that capture CO₂ from the air and convert it using water and #RenewableElectricity into drop-in gasoline. I made a lot of new friends, asked too many questions, and am leaving with a lot of new ideas. That’s what I mean by Future Week!💡 I’m off now to the Kingdom of Denmark to keep working on what’s next. 💚 #stoneweg

Cette machine transforme l’air en essence ⛽️ C’est le pari (réussi) d’Aircela, une start-up new-yorkaise qui transforme le CO₂ et l’humidité de l’air… en carburant synthétique, compatible avec tous les moteurs thermiques existants. 🚗 Leur machine, de la taille d’un frigo, capte le dioxyde de carbone, extrait l’hydrogène de l’eau contenue dans l’air, et combine les deux pour produire du méthanol puis de l’essence synthétique, chimiquement identique à celle que vous trouvez à la pompe. 👀 🛠️ Résultat : jusqu’à 4 litres d’essence par jour, 10 kg de CO₂ capturés, zéro pétrole, et un carburant prêt à l’emploi, sans modification de la voiture ou des infrastructures.
