Our crews are busy at work enhancing reliability and modernizing the electric grid across our service territory, including in East St. Louis, Illinois and Jefferson City, Missouri. In East St. Louis, we are installing stronger electric infrastructure and IntelliRupters. The switches detect disruptions in the power supply and reroute power, reducing outage impacts on customers. In downtown Jefferson City four new smart switchgear will boost reliability for critical services. Similar upgrades have already prevented more than 330,000 outages statewide. We are charting the future—investing in providing customers with safe and reliable energy for the long term. ameren.com/reliability

We hosted our 7th annual Community Voices Workshop and Energy Expo last week with more than 125 community leaders, energy assistance organizations and stakeholders from Ameren's service territory across Illinois and Missouri. Powering progress together, the day provided an opportunity for meaningful dialogue between community leaders and Ameren leaders and co-workers about topics important to customers including energy efficiency, energy assistance, energy workforce opportunities and why collaboration today is key to building and sustaining a brighter tomorrow. We appreciate everyone who took part in this year's event. At Ameren, community input isn’t just welcomed—it’s essential. It drives how we serve and innovate.

We were honored to join the groundbreaking ceremony for an expansion at WEG Transformers USA's facility in Washington, Missouri, alongside local, state, and federal officials. WEG, a leading global producer of transformers, is investing $77 million and creating 50 jobs through the establishment of its new state-of-the-art welding facility. Since the start of the Smart Energy Plan, Ameren Missouri has worked with more than 1,200 Missouri-based suppliers to modernize the state's energy grid, making it more resilient and reliable. As one of our Missouri-based suppliers, WEG has played a critical role in these efforts supplying more than two dozen high-voltage transformers for Smart Energy Plan projects throughout our service territory over the course of the past five years. Their expansion in Franklin County is a win for everyone, especially our customers as we continue to deliver safe, reliable and resilient energy.

Our Ameren Illinois team recently joined Manner Polymers' CEO Raj Bhargava, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and other state and local leaders to celebrate the grand opening of Manner Polymers’ new 100% solar-powered manufacturing facility in Mt. Vernon. This state-of-the-art plant will produce flexible PVC compounds for electric vehicles and solar panels. The 108,000 square foot facility is backed by a $54 million investment and state infrastructure support. We were proud to have been a collaborative partner in the plant's development, working with Manner Polymers' engineering teams to provide essential infrastructure upgrades, energy planning, and technical expertise. With more than 60 new jobs created, a 15-acre solar field, and an anticipated $20 million annual economic impact, this project demonstrates the power of clean energy innovation.

We are storm-hardening the electric grid with composite poles across Illinois and Missouri to enhance reliability. Stronger than wood, they are designed to resist extreme weather and help minimize cascading—which is when high winds, the force of a falling tree or large limb causes multiple wood poles to snap in a row. Learn more about our approach to finding the right balance between wood and composite poles.
