The Overlake/MultiCare Off Campus Emergency Department (OCED) in Lynnwood, WA. had its Ribbon Cutting ceremony yesterday October 1st and first patient will be Monday the 6th. Both Andersen Construction and I are proud to be a part of this program and to be a partner with Multicare and Overlake in making this Lynnwood site possible. This is Andersen's 7th Off Campus Emergency Department for MultiCare, and we are proud of the part we have played over the past 7 years to help their vision and mission come to reality. We look forward to continuing to partner with Multicare on their next OCED location. Located at 3011 196th Street Southwest, the brand-new 11,000-square-foot standalone emergency department features 12 exam rooms, on-site radiology services (including CT scanners and X-ray), a point-of-care testing lab, and on-site pharmacy services to offer a wide variety of emergency care.

We’re thrilled to share that the YWCA – Fifth & Seneca Renovation in downtown Seattle has received the Valerie Sivinski Award for Outstanding Rehabilitation from Washington State Historic Preservation! The historic 1914 building was thoughtfully renewed with 114 affordable homes, upgraded systems, and redesigned lower floors—preserving its character and safeguarding vital housing for years to come. A huge thank you to YWCA Seattle, SMR Architects, JH Brawner, and our incredible team for making this achievement possible.

We took time to focus on safety recently at Seattle's Safety Revival this year. We invited our families to participate and celebrate in our We Do It Safely, or We Don’t Do It Core Value. It’s a reflection of who we are and the heart of what we're committed to building. Every voice, every choice, and every act of care contribute to an environment where we all look out for one another. That’s what drives us — not just to meet safety standards, but to lead with intention and accountability. From Safety Plinko and PPE obstacle courses to good food and team games for kids of all ages. Andersen’s Safety Revivals are more than events; they’re defining moments for our culture. Huge thanks to John Hartnett with Majestic Glove for showing up and donating his time and many pairs of small gloves!

It was a privilege to collaborate with Clark/Kjos Architects on the Legacy Health Silverton Emergency Department Expansion to improve care and comfort for patients every day.

Congratulations to the entire team on the successful 14,000SF / 680 CY concrete pour at University of Washington Haggett Hall! This milestone is a testament to the team's detailed planning and precise execution, which ensured the work was completed smoothly with minimal disruption for the University. A special thanks to Mahlum and Coughlin Porter Lundeen, our architectural and engineering partners, for their continued collaboration, and to CalPortland and Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping for their outstanding service and support. Great work, everyone!
