We built an AI agent to help our Customer Relations team better serve GPs and LPs. Now, it assists with 65% of all requests. The system was built entirely in-house, with: - Streaming infrastructure implemented in Go - Custom OpenSearch indices for retrieval - Direct integrations with Slack and Front The agent indexes and retrieves information from email, Slack, legal documents, Notion, and our CRM, providing verified, source-linked answers in real time. You know what's awesome? Engineers who want to talk to customers! Most places I've worked, the eng team is so separate from go-to-market functions and the voice of customer. Maybe they'd join a quarterly voice of customer readout if we were lucky. But at AngelList, they're right in it with us. Yesterday one of our Engineering Leads asked me for customer call clips, specifically wanting to build the 'customer empathy' muscle with his team by sharing those more regularly. ✨ Hard to tell you how happy this made my marketing heart!
