Matt DeBergalis co-founder of Apollo GraphQL on the complexity of the modern tech stack.⁣ ⁣ Your tech stack is either accelerating you forward or slowly killing your momentum.⁣ ⁣ Apollo GraphQL's CEO breaks down the brutal reality: some technologies give you exponential returns - the more you build, the faster you go. Others? They're log curves in disguise. You keep pouring energy in, but somehow everything just gets slower.⁣ ⁣ The hardest part? You can't see the damage immediately. Make the wrong database choice today, and you won't feel the pain for 2-3 years. By then, you're stuck.⁣ ⁣ It's the classic tension every builder faces: quick wins now vs. setting up for long-term success. Sometimes the answer is literally checking interest rates in the Wall Street Journal.⁣ ⁣ The goal isn't perfection - it's squaring the circle between immediate needs and future scalability.⁣ ⁣ #TechStack #GraphQL #Startups #TechLeadership #SoftwareArchitecture⁣ ⁣ Subscribe to https://lnkd.in/gp68tX-5 for full conversations.⁣ ⁣ Full convo at: ⁣ https://lnkd.in/gFg9Bk7P

✅ Third MCP Server Builder Series event in SF was a big success! This community has grown so fast and our last two events have hit capacity. It's been a whirlwind and we're already past 1250 subscribers to our calendar across SF/NYC. A lot of positive feedback on the technical content and I promise you won't want to miss the next event with what I'm planning! Stay tuned for the date by subscribing to the calendar 👉 https://lu.ma/mcp-server I also want to give a big thank you to Canva for being such amazing hosts with a really warm and inviting space. It made for some great interactive questions that paired great with the talks! And thank you to Scalekit and Apollo GraphQL for the tasty Tacolicious 🤤 We couldn't have made it possible without our fantastic speakers: Meredith Hassett (Canva), Tobin South (WorkOS), Ravi Madabhushi (Scalekit), Aman Singla (Immersa) and David Emanuel Sarabia. Y'all had fantastic talks with so many great technical nuggets that everyone in the room could take back with them. Thank you for bringing your A game and the perfect content for this community. We'll be editing the videos and releasing them as we have them. Stay tuned to the Apollo GraphQL YouTube channel to catch that content (or even the past events recordings!): https://lnkd.in/g6weE_U5

Incoming AI Data Scientist (Co-Op) @ Resolution Life US | MS AIML’26 @ Drexel | Former Senior Software Engineer

Had an incredible experience attending the first-ever CTRL+ALT Philly meetup on August 21st. The energy was fantastic, and the speaker lineup made for an inspiring introduction to Philly’s newest developer community. Here are the highlights: Kyle Tryon walked through how the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Seer enable LLMs to pull real context from Sentry for smarter, automated debugging. His demonstration showcased how bringing real-time data into the development process leads to more intelligent solutions. Amanda Martin shared a community management MCP server she built as a fast weekend POC at Apollo GraphQL. She showcased how authentication is handled in MCP servers, highlighting how quick prototypes can rapidly validate value and grow with feedback. Michael Smith broke down React transitions and deferred rendering. The format of his talk was crisp, everything was neatly structured and easy to follow, which made the advanced UI topics much more approachable. It was also great connecting with the speakers after the sessions, hearing more about their inspiring work, learning about their team cultures, and getting a few insightful tips from them. The conversations made the event even more valuable. Big thanks to Sentry, Supabase, speakers, and everyone who came out. Excited to see where #CTRLALTPhilly goes from here! #TechCommunity #PhillyTech #Developers #DevEvents #Developers #AI #OpenSource #GraphQL #Sentry #Networking #Meetup #DevEvents #TechTalks

Thrilled to Welcome Summit Back to San Francisco This October! 🌉 Agentic AI momentum is undeniable, and we've seen incredible energy building since launching Apollo MCP Server and our MCP Builder Series in May - a community now 1200+ strong. I couldn’t be more excited for our growing community to come together for Summit in San Francisco. Everyone wants agents - agents that can actually ✨ do things. With Model Context Protocol (MCP), they finally can. The challenge every business faces is this: how do you make all your existing systems and APIs MCP-ready, fast? That’s exactly what Apollo GraphQL delivers - a standards-based approach designed to help you move quickly and confidently. ✨ This year’s Summit is all about agentic development  What started as a better way to build mobile apps has evolved into something much bigger. Apollo is now the foundation powering everything from Booking.com's massive-scale travel platform to Indeed's AI-powered hiring experiences. And here's why that matters: Apollo’s declarative platform that made it perfect for traditional apps, makes it uniquely suited for AI systems that need deterministic execution, policy enforcement, and enterprise reliability. And that’s what this year’s focus is all about - bringing the community together to showcase the teams building both user-facing agentic experiences and the use of agents in development itself. Here are just a few sessions I’m especially excited for: 1️⃣ Matt DeBergalis keynote (always wows) 2️⃣ Angie Jones (Block) with our own Smruti Patel: Shipping Agentic Experiences - Going Beyond Pilots to Production 3️⃣ Jeffrey Russom (Indeed): Powering Indeed's Agentic Talent Scout 4️⃣ Bhavana Sree Pallempati and Rohit Gupta (Wayfair): Embedding AI and MCP Across the Developer Workflow 5️⃣ Hen Perez (Wiz): Reimagining Partner Integrations with MCP That’s just the start - you’ll hear from 30+ engineering leaders sharing how they’re building AI-powered apps, agent-driven developer experiences, and resilient platforms at scale. Beyond the sessions, Summit includes workshops for hands-on training, a hackathon with Goose, AI + Connectors certifications, and more opportunities than ever to connect directly with Apollo engineers and community builders. We’ll also be making new products available in early access. 👉 Ready to join us? Register at summit.graphql.com   A huge thank you to our customers, community, and partners for the privilege of working together every day. And to our incredible team behind the scenes - your dedication makes this possible and inspires us all.  Here’s to Summit 2025! Angeline Bonin, MBA, Jennifer Tyrseck, Michael Watson….🖥, Amanda Martin, Dan Boerner, Chauntay Mickens - Lawson, Jill Voege, Michelle Elston, Jonny Gaston, Jill Martay, Dina Jacobson, Wesley Disher, Ben Stevens, Jeff Auriemma, Michael Walker, Aditya Phadke, Rob Brazier, Stuart Wilson

  • When architecture enables scale instead of creating bottlenecks, everything changes. Sysco's transformation shows how moving to declarative API orchestration can streamline development and accelerate business growth. The key insight from Chandima Jayawickrema, their Associate Director of Architecture: "Apollo is playing that orchestration layer role. We have different layers - orchestration first, then core services, then enterprise behind it." Clean separation of concerns. Clear team ownership. Efficient development workflows. Swipe to see how they moved 100 developers from shared complexity to focused domain expertise.

  • Level up your graph skills 🚀 Join our Connectors Workshop: Handling Entities & Errors in the Graph on Sept 8.
