🌍 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟱 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 As countries are setting their new climate commitments for 2035, corporate transition plans can increasingly be evaluated in the context of national goals. In a recent article on the Real Economy Progress, Antonina Scheer at the TPI Centre highlights that investors are beginning to consider whether businesses are aligned with their countries’ Nationally Determined Contributions (#NDCs). The article further highlights that many countries are now developing more detailed implementation roadmaps — turning high-level NDC pledges into sectoral policies, investment pipelines and accountability mechanisms. Aligning corporate transition strategies with evolving national climate ambitions will be a growing area of stakeholder scrutiny.
