The seasons are changing, and our incredible Employee Health team is ready to help you stay healthy this winter! This passionate team works tirelessly year-round to support the health and wellbeing of over 500 employees—and they're sharing their expertise with our entire community. Here are their top three tips for thriving in the colder months: 1. Seasonal vaccinations: Connect with your primary care provider to discuss which vaccines are recommended for you and your family. 2. Prioritize rest: Aspen's quieter fall months offer the perfect opportunity to reflect and recharge. Our philosophy? Rest doesn't need to be earned—it's a vital part of the healing and wellbeing process. 3. Stay home when sick: When you're feeling ill, the kindest thing you can do for our community is rest at home and recover fully. We're grateful for our Employee Health department's dedication to keeping our community healthy and vibrant through every season. For you. For life.

Today on Breast Health Day, we're grateful to share some news that strengthens our commitment to you and your wellbeing. Thanks to a generous grant from The Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation, Aspen Valley Health now has a state-of-the-art Hologic breast mammography machine. The 3Dimensions Mammography System features higher resolution to better spot masses and calcifications, plus curved paddles for improved patient comfort during compression. This grant helps us complete 4,000 mammograms annually for members of our community—and offer free mammograms for those in their 40th year. Because early detection is one of the most powerful tools we have in cancer prevention, and this life-saving screening should be accessible to all. Thank you to The Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation for helping us bring state-of-the-art technology to the Roaring Fork Valley and provide extraordinary care close to home. And, if you haven't already, talk to your primary care provider about scheduling your annual mammogram. For you. For life.

This National PA Week, we're celebrating the more than 20 incredible physician assistants at Aspen Valley Health. Our PAs are your neighbors. They live here, explore here and love this valley just like you do. That connection matters, because quality healthcare goes beyond prescriptions and procedures. It comes from the people providing your care. We asked our PA team to share a glimpse of their lives outside the clinic, and these photos show what we already know: they're part of the fabric of this community. They take time to really listen, see you as a whole person and provide expert care tailored to your life. Whether you see them in the clinic or around the valley, our PAs bring heart, skill and dedication to everything they do. Happy PA Week to our amazing team! #PAsGoBeyond For you. For life.

On World Mental Health Day, we want to remind you of something simple: it's okay to not be okay. Maybe you're feeling stressed but not in crisis. Maybe you want to build better coping skills before things get overwhelming. Maybe you've been thinking about therapy but don't know where to start. Or maybe you need support right now, today. Wherever you are on that journey, there's a place for you. Our community partner Headquarters | Your Path to Mental Fitness focuses on something powerful, building Mental Fitness before crisis hits. They offer workshops, coaching and resources that help you develop resilience and emotional agility. It's like strength training for your mind, giving you tools to navigate life's everyday stressors. And when you need clinical support, our behavioral health team provides therapy, trauma care and psychiatric referrals. Because sometimes you need more than preventative tools, and that's completely okay. The point is this: mental health support isn't one-size-fits-all. It's a spectrum. And our valley has resources at every point along that spectrum. Nature helps, too. Twenty minutes outside can genuinely shift your stress levels. So take that walk, sit by the river, get on your bike. Your mind will thank you. In crisis? Call the 24/7 HopeLine: 970.925.5858 Ready to explore support? At Aspen Valley Health, we believe that healthcare is most effective when it's both excellent and approachable. That's the philosophy behind everything we do, including our approach to breast health. We've recently invested in advanced mammography technology that improves both accuracy and patient comfort. But technology is only part of the story. What matters most is creating an environment where people feel supported, informed and empowered to take charge of their health. Our approach includes: 💕 Accessible screening with complimentary mammograms in your 40th year, removing barriers to preventive care. 💕 Patient education that goes beyond clinical information to help people understand their bodies, recognize changes and feel confident having conversations with their healthcare providers. 💕 A commitment to comfort and dignity throughout the screening process, because we know that experience matters when it comes to consistent preventive care. We've created a comprehensive resource guide on breast health. From self-examination to understanding personal risk factors and creating individualized screening plans. It's part of our broader commitment to helping the Roaring Fork Valley become one of the healthiest communities in the nation. "I and over 100 others thoroughly enjoyed our 'Healthcare in Aspen: A Journey Through Time' event the week before last. On this special night, past and present staff, physicians, board members and the community came together to reminisce, tell stories and to hear Amy Honey from the Aspen Historical Society provide a carefully curated and amusing history of healthcare in our community."
