Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Board President Dr. Michael and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Smith along with the Mayor's Office visited Armistead Gardens to meet the school’s Inclusion Squad—fourth- and fifth-grade students leading efforts to promote inclusion—and to celebrate the school’s recognition as a Special Olympics Unified Champion School of North America, earned for meeting 10 national standards of excellence in inclusion.
