At 8:30 AM, Jess and James will share insights from the emergency closure and repair of two steel bridges on US 50 over the Blue Mesa Reservoir in Colorado—a critical project completed under tight timelines and challenging conditions via CM/GC. Then at 9:30 AM, James will join Kiewit’s Will Abernathy to explore how the CM/GC contract delivery model can effectively manage scope and change across multi-agency projects, featuring lessons from the E-470 widening project. On Friday, Benesch’s Demian Miller, AICP will take part in a panel discussion alongside Pond & Company’s Wade Carroll, AICP, RSP1 and four other planning experts at the 2025 Georgia Planning Association Fall Conference!   With more than $21 million in Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grants awarded across Georgia, many communities are now shifting from planning to implementation. The panel will share lessons learned during this transition, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges of putting Safety Action Plans into practice.
