An inspiring afternoon! 🤝 The day continued with a special visit from 𝗣𝘂𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 Serena Triggiani at the #BlueMissionMed stand — a valuable exchange on regional environmental strategies and blue innovation 🌿 💬 The 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 then connected innovators, institutions, and regional actors working toward the EU Mission Restore our Ocean & Waters, sparking new collaborations and partnerships across the Mediterranean basin 🌍 🏛️ The high-level workshop “𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚: 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣” gathered representatives from leading regions - Emilia-Romagna, Sicily, Piemonte, Lazio, Puglia, Murcia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Crete, and Western Greece - alongside the European Commission, CO-WATERS, Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership, and BlueMissionMed Hubs coordinators! 🎯 Together, they explored how to integrate Mission Ocean results into regional strategies and funding pathways, strengthening cooperation through Cooperation Working Arrangements (CWAs) and shared transition agendas. 🎤 "𝘞𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘖𝘤𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦!" stated Dr. Francesco Picciotto from Sicily Region ☕ Meanwhile, the BMM Booth Side Events – 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗳𝗲́ & 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 brought the Mission Ocean closer to ECOMONDO - ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP audiences, featuring: 🚢 Swan Hellenic Cruises as mobile observatories for citizen science 🏙️ the Coalition of Mayors as a model for local collaboration 📘 the BlueMissionMed Catalogue of Services & Experts, fostering networking and solution-sharing across the Mediterranean. 💙 A day of collaboration, innovation, and real progress toward restoring our ocean and waters!
