  • Way to go Michael Buhrman! Congratulations on the recognition from the Bonneville Denver team!

    View profile for Michael Buhrman

Over 21 years of radio broadcasting and digital experience both as a Regional Brand Manager/Program Director & On-Air Personality.

Very awesome surprise kicking off February getting employee of the month. One of my favorite privileges and roles when I was a Regional Brand Manager and Program Director was nominating employees and recognizing them for their hard work or growth in their roles because I remembered how good that feeling felt. I remember even my prior market manager telling me that another stations employees were upset that my employees were frequently being recognized and she said "well that's because Big Mic nominates them"! Lolol The majority of us aren't doing what we do with the purpose of being recognized or being awarded, but I think we all agree we know how good it feels when it happens to you. Positive reinforcement goes a long way. Doesn't even need to be an employee of the month nod. Shoot your employees/Co workers a text letting them know they did a good talk break, produced some good imaging, recorded an awesome commercial! Call a meeting specifically to highlight their successes with no other alterior motives and come up with more goals to achieve. But end of the day very blessed to look back at these 2+ years and opportunity provided to contribute to my Bonneville International family.
