✨ One chapter concludes, but many new ones are opening!   Tech-Park Kaunas, in cooperation with national stakeholders, is proud to announce the BSI4Women National Workshop in Lithuania: New Horizons: Empowering Refugees through Entrepreneurship – an evening to recognise achievements, share lessons, and spark new beginnings for refugees, especially women, ready to continue their entrepreneurial journeys.   📅 29 September 2025 📍 IOM Lithuania, Migration Information Center (MICenter), Jasinskio st. 16, II floor, Vilnius This national event will highlight: 🌟 Inspiration – real stories of resilience and entrepreneurship. 📊 Impact – results and achievements of programs. 🤝 Connection – dialogue with mentors, stakeholders, and communities. 🚀 Future Pathways – upcoming opportunities for support and cooperation. 🎤Empowerment begins with community, and innovation grows where inclusion leads. As part of the “Kaunas Connects” intercultural summer initiative, our partners from Lithuania, Tech-Park Kaunas had the honour of welcoming a group of curious young minds from the FRIDA Foundation summer camp, future leaders and changemakers who are just beginning to explore how ideas can shape the world. During this inspiring visit, Zivile Pauzaite, one of the representatives of the #BSI4Women in Lithuania, introduced the mission of @BSI_4Women – The Baltic Sea Initiative for the Development of Business Activity of Refugee Women by @Interreg Baltic Sea Region. The heart of this initiative? Creating a supportive, opportunity-rich environment for women from Ukraine and beyond, empowering them to launch and grow sustainable businesses. 💬 We discussed what it means to turn resilience into entrepreneurship, and how real innovation comes not only from technology, but from lived experiences, ambition, and community support. 🌍 On 21 May 2025, the BSI_4Women panel discussion brought together an engaged audience of entrepreneurs, experts, and partners to exchange insights on supporting female-led startups across the Baltic Sea Region. We’re still riding the wave of inspiration from the Transnational BSR Demo-Day that took place in Rzeszów, Poland, on May 21, 2025. It was an unforgettable day filled with energy, creativity, and hope. Delegations from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia joined us, alongside remarkable Ukrainian refugee women—winners of their local Demo-Days. Each pitch showcased not only innovative ideas but also the courage and dedication of these entrepreneurs. From beauty salons and jewelry design to yoga classes, VR learning, and unique hospitality experiences, the business ideas presented were truly impressive. We were especially moved by how each woman transformed her vision into a business plan, ready to take the next step. A huge congratulations to all participants and, in particular, to our top three winners: 🥇 Alina Shynkar – for her innovative tool rental service 🥈 Olha Kazymir – for integrating VR technology in education 🥉 Olena Bondaruk – for her elegant, conscious jewelry concept The BSI_4Women project has proven itself as a platform for empowerment, supporting women on their entrepreneurial journeys with workshops, mentoring, and incubation opportunities. 🎤 On May 16, 2025, the Regional Demo Day of the BSI_4Women incubation programme took place at RARR in Rzeszów 🇵🇱, showcasing outstanding entrepreneurial talent and innovation from women based in Podkarpackie. Among the ideas presented were: 🚀 Hot Board Games – a family-friendly board game café concept with a mobile outreach component, 🎈 Rzeszów Balloon – scenic hot air balloon experiences designed to offer unforgettable views and moments. Supporting women in entrepreneurship is about resilience, diversity, and sustainable growth. Women bring unique perspectives, build inclusive teams, and often focus on long-term, socially responsible solutions. Yet, they still face more barriers to funding, mentorship, and market access. That is why initiatives that champion female founders are crucial, not only for fairness but for a smarter, stronger, and more sustainable future. Our partners from Lithuania, Tech-Park Kaunas had the pleasure of welcoming guests from the cross-cutting Erasmus+ project “Think Global. Learn Being an Entrepreneur in Europe!”, with education sector representatives visiting from Portugal, Italy, Greece, Latvia, and Lithuania. During their visit, Tech-Park Kaunas team presented the Interreg Baltic Sea Region BSI4Women initiative, as well as the business support and incubation program. On April 2–3, 2025, the BSI_4Women project partners met in Borlänge, Sweden to discuss the progress of pilot actions, plan the Transnational Demo-Day, and shape the project's long-term impact. Thanks to Dalarna Science Park and Dalarna University for hosting an energizing and collaborative two-day event. The agenda included powerful personal stories from refugee and migrant women and insights on inclusive entrepreneurship.
