Hunger, conflict, and climate shocks are converging in #Mali. Nearly one-third of the population now needs urgent humanitarian assistance — among the highest levels in a decade. CARE is there, working with local partners to deliver food, cash, and protection for women and girls. Despite the immense needs, international humanitarian support and funding for Mali remains low. https://lnkd.in/e6vF4wnX

What an incredible CARE on Capitol Hill! 🎉 #CAREAction Advocates from across the country met with 70+ Congressional offices to call for protecting international assistance that saves lives, advances women’s and girls’ empowerment, and strengthens communities against poverty and crisis. At a time when funding cuts threaten programs that help families thrive, our advocates made it clear: investing in international assistance is not just the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do. A heartfelt thank you to Delta Air Lines for making this possible and for their tireless commitment to the fight against global poverty. Your partnership helps make this vital advocacy possible. Thank you to every CARE Advocate who showed up, spoke out, and stood up for a more just, resilient, and equitable world 🌍 Together, we reminded Congress that when the U.S. leads with compassion and commitment, the world is stronger—and everyone benefits.

At this moment, hundreds of thousands across Gaza urgently need food, water, medical supplies, and dignified shelter. But none of this can happen if trucks carrying life-saving aid can't cross the border to reach them. Listen to CARE's Palestine Country Director Jolien Veldwijk who spoke to CBS News this week. As she noted in the interview, while CARE is able to sustain essential health services at our clinic in Deir al-Balah, we remain blocked from bringing in critical pre-positioned supplies – materials for safe shelter, hygiene items for women and girls, cooking supplies, medicine, and more – currently in warehouses in Jordan, the West Bank, and Egypt. CARE is delivering urgent medical CARE every day and is ready to scale up support to bring in critical items that people desperately need. https://lnkd.in/eaEJxneK

Conflict, displacement, and heavy rains are fueling a severe cholera outbreak in #Sudan, with over 120,000 cases and more than 3,300 deaths. Women, children, and displaced communities are disproportionately affected. Millions lack access to clean water and healthcare, and +75% of health facilities are destroyed. CARE Sudan is providing life-saving treatment, clean water, and hygiene education, but the crisis is underfunded. https://lnkd.in/eyr86PXd

Monsoon rains have devastated communities across #Pakistan claiming over 1,000 lives and displacing millions. Floodwaters have wiped out crops and livestock, fueling outbreaks of malaria, dengue, skin infections and diarrheal diseases. CARE is on the ground delivering lifesaving aid. https://lnkd.in/ebTbTk_a

Anannya dreamed of running, kicking a ball, and simply playing with her friends. But in her village in Bangladesh, girls weren’t allowed to play soccer or other outdoor games and instead were expected to marry young. With support from a CARE girls' empowerment program, she and other girls challenged the norms that kept them inside. Now, they play soccer, cricket, and more — proving that girls can push back against harmful stereotypes and fight for their rights. This International Day of the Girl, we celebrate girls like Anannya, who are standing up to child marriage and chasing their dreams. Who cares? You do. Join us at care.org/whocares

Perla is eight years old and helps her mom harvest spinach and tomatoes on their family plot in Ecuador. She learned from her parents and grandparents the value of courage, honesty, and caring for the earth. But water is running out in her community. So, Perla is raising her voice — urging leaders to protect the planet and its people. CARE and partners like @Cotopaxi are proud to support Perla and her mom. This International Day of the Girl, we celebrate girls like Perla, who carry wisdom, strength, and hope into the future. Who cares? You do.

CARE and our Palestinian partners are ready to scale up its humanitarian response in Gaza. We stand ready to deliver lifesaving healthcare at our clinic in Deir Al-Balah and through partner-run medical points and centers, restoring access to clean water across Gaza. Once allowed to bring more aid in, CARE is also ready to offer shelter assistance to those who lost their homes and deliver baby kits and hygiene kits in addition to other critical protection services to women and children. https://lnkd.in/eRm-gf_B
