CJ+C recently welcomed Biozenic to lead a succulent plant workshop at our downtown San Diego office. In the midst of project meetings and deadlines, it was time to take a breather and reconnect with nature! How do we empower beyond a social media post? This was just one of the several questions asked at a recent event co-curated by our Associate, McKenna Leventhal, and her partner at WEA (WE in Architecture), a committee of AIA San Diego and AIA Palomar. Over wine and conversation, attendees gathered to connect offline—sharing stories, perspectives, and experiences that don’t always make it to the digital surface. The goal? To create space. For dialogue, for visibility, and for building each other up. When we meet in person and listen deeply, we begin to shift the narrative—not just as individuals, but as a collective that reflects the real world we live and design in.
