  • 🌍🔧 Can we combine engineering with ecology to build a future where we waste less and repair more? We believe the answer is yes! That’s why, within the Erasmus+ project, we are developing an innovative educational program that brings together two key pillars: ♻️ Circular Economy (CE) – a design approach where waste is turned into resources. ⚙️ Reverse Engineering (RE) – analyzing and improving existing products so they can last longer and work better. 🎓 What does this mean in practice? We are creating a 110-hour course for students, designed to build both green skills and digital competencies. Developed in collaboration with universities and industry partners, the program gives participants the chance to tackle real-world challenges faced by today’s economy and technology. 💡 Our mission? To educate innovators who, instead of discarding, will repair, enhance, and create smarter solutions. This is what engineering of the future is all about! 🌍🚀 👉 Follow us to stay updated on the project’s progress and see how students transform theory into practice. 🌐 https://lnkd.in/gjs7m5f6

Ready for Transformation? Discover Digital Tools in the CircleREdu Project! ✨ Are you fascinated by how existing products can gain a second life? Are you interested in how digital technology, including 3D scanning and CAD modelling, supports sustainable development and the Circular Economy (CE)? We present the "Digital Tools" section from the CircleREdu project – a true treasure trove of knowledge for anyone who wants to delve into the secrets of Reverse Engineering (RE) and the Circular Economy (CE). Here you will find a wealth of resources that will help you understand and apply these concepts in practice: • 📚 Study programs and courses: From an introduction to RE and CE, through advanced 3D scanning and modelling techniques, software and hardware analysis, to engineering for CE and sustainable development strategies. Learn how to design products with reuse, repair, remanufacturing, and recycling in mind! • 🛠️ Digital tools: An overview of specialized software for scanning and processing point clouds, 3D modelling, analysis (e.g., finite element analysis, Life Cycle Assessment LCA), and even tools for software and security vulnerability analysis. You'll find mobile apps for 3D scanning, as well as advanced CAD/CAM platforms and photogrammetry software. • 🔬 Practical applications: Explore examples of using RE and CE, e.g., in manufacturing spare parts, creating medical prostheses, or remanufacturing hydraulic system components. • 🎯 Goals and applications: Learn how RE helps in creating digital models of physical objects, software analysis, or quality control, and CE in creating business value and combating climate change through effective resource and waste management. Whether you are a student, teacher, engineer, designer, or industry professional, this section will provide you with the knowledge and tools needed to work in these dynamically developing fields. 🌍♻️ On April 3rd, we held the monthly meeting, where we discussed the Circular Economy (CE)! This model of production and consumption is all about sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing, and recycling materials and products for as long as possible. It extends product lifespans and minimizes waste.   The CE shifts away from the traditional linear "take – make – consume – throw away" model and keeps resources circulating in the economy, maximizing their value.   🎯 The European Green Deal aims to support the transition to a clean, circular economy – currently, only 12% of materials used in the EU come from recycling. Key actions include: 🔹 circular design of products (especially in textiles, construction, electronics, plastics) 🔹 encouraging durable, reusable, and repairable products 🔹 reducing waste and developing markets for secondary raw materials Co-funded by the European Union You can find more information in the resources of the European Parliament, European Commission, and the 2020 Circular Economy Action Plan.
