Albuquerque is leading the way in reimagining public safety. Earlier this week, we launched the new ACS Academy in partnership with CNM Ingenuity, a first of its kind training program that gives alternative first responders accredited, hands on training to handle 911 calls involving behavioral health, substance use, homelessness, and other nonviolent crises. By investing in this academy, we are building a stronger, more compassionate public safety workforce and setting the standard for cities across the country.
