How Durham grows affects all of us — from the streets we drive on to how neighborhoods are designed and how we protect our environment. That’s why we're creating a new Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) — the rulebook for how land and buildings can be used and developed. The next section, Module 3, is ready for your feedback. It includes proposals for: 🌱 Environmental protection 🏘️ Subdivisions 🚦 Infrastructure & street design 👉 Join our staff at upcoming events to learn more and share your thoughts: https://lnkd.in/eGHFfKag

Our employees do fabulous things at any age! North Carolina Central University recognized Way to Go Durham Program Public Information and Communications Analyst Imani Johnson as one of the University’s 40 Under 40 inductees. Imani is the youngest recipient in the program’s history. NCCU alumni, from different professions, selected honorees for their leadership roles and innovation in public service. “I enjoy my job because it allows me to be innovative and bring various ideas to life that impact the community's awareness of their transportation options and resources,” Johnson said. “I love my NCCU because it will always be a home of excellence, history, and community. #EaglePride” ⭐ 🏆

Showing up for change! We asked for opinions on Duke St. & Gregson St./Vickers Ave. More than 100 people came to the Way to Go Durham Program September Open House. Some people want to see reduced speeds. They’re concerned about the safety of kids, older adults, pedestrians and cyclists. Our next step is to combine & condense feedback for recommendations to present to NCDOT next year. If you haven’t already, take the survey: https://lnkd.in/eNJTdE2b
