Join us on Thursday, October 23, at 10:30 a.m. at 201 Williams Avenue South for a panel discussion on how to choose the right location for your business. Hear from a commercial broker, local business owners, and a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) advisor as they cover current market trends, available spaces in the region, and practical strategies for lease negotiation. Panelists will share lessons learned, including what they wish they had known before signing a lease, while the SBDC advisor will provide actionable guidance to help entrepreneurs navigate site selection with confidence. After the panel, participants are invited to stay for coworking and networking, connecting with peers and resource partners to continue the conversation and build valuable relationships. RSVP for free at https://lnkd.in/gYK2M28M This event is hosted by Startup425 and our Community & Economic Development Department.

Congratulations to our Community & Economic Development (CED) Department! During Monday’s Renton City Council meeting, the Puget Sound Regional Council awarded CED and its Planning Division a VISION 2050 Award for their proactive planning for the Rainier/Grady Junction Transit-Oriented Development Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Planned Action Ordinance (PAO). The Rainier/Grady Junction EIS and PAO outline a plan for the redevelopment of the area surrounding the future Renton Transit Center, including bus rapid transit (BRT) service to support transit-oriented growth. CED’s planning helps streamline the review process for developers while minimizing environmental impacts. Learn more: rentonwa.gov/vision2050
