  • Connect with Lone Tree City Council - A Great Success! We had a great time at our Connect with Council last week! Nearly 100 residents stopped by Prairie Sky Park to chat with our Mayor and City Councilmembers, share ideas, ask questions, and just say hello. It was a fun, casual way for the community to connect, enjoy some Kona Ice, and get to know each other. Big thanks to everyone who came out. Events like this are a reminder of our amazing community - it’s the people who come together and stay engaged that make the City of Lone Tree so special. • The First Phase of High Note Park is Coming Soon! Together with South Suburban Park and Recreation District the first phase of High Note Park is set to begin construction in spring 2026. Phase 1 focuses on features that Lone Tree doesn’t have today: including lit multipurpose fields for youth and adult sports, a dog park, a unique community swing, and a splash pad. Plans are also in the works for a shipping-container style bar and beer garden. The mix of a playground, water feature, and social spaces creates a fresh environment that blends family fun with community gathering spots. Funding for Phase 1 the park totals $31 million including $9 million from the City of Lone Tree, $13 million from South Suburban Parks and Recreation District, $7.5 million from Douglas County , $1 million from the Southeast Public Improvement Metropolitan District (SPIMD), and $580k from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO). We're grateful for our strong partnerships helping to bring Phase 1 to life! Thanks to Denver7 (KMGH-TV) for covering the story of this amazing recreational amenity! • 𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐲: 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐡! With over two decades of service and a commitment to excellence, Lieutenant Travis Sneith brings leadership, tactical expertise, and a heart for mentorship to the Lone Tree Police Department. Lieutenant Sneith began his law enforcement journey in 2004 after graduating from the Highlands Ranch Public Safety Training Institute Police Academy. He started with the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office, and in 2006, joined the Fraser Winter Park Police Department, where he served as an Operator on the Middle Park SWAT Team. In 2010, he brought his skills and passion for service to the City of Lone Tree Police Department. Over the years, he has held multiple roles, including being a Field Training Officer for more than 15 years. His outstanding service has led to several promotions—Corporal in 2015, Sergeant in 2020, and Lieutenant in 2024. Throughout his career, Lieutenant Sneith has received numerous accolades, including a Life Saving Award in 2015 for rescuing a choking victim. In 2023, he led the Investigations Unit during the complex and high-profile homicide case that occurred in the At Home store parking lot. 💙 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯? My favorite thing about being a Lieutenant is the diversity of the work every day and assisting in solving complex issues/ problems. Interacting with people with different backgrounds and social aspects is fascinating. 🏕️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? I enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as being in the outdoors. Specifically hunting, fishing and sports. 🎯 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀? To attend and graduate the FBI National Academy. It has been a goal of mine for the last 15 years as it is very prestigious for leadership and development. 👮 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁? My advice is to focus on your character first—this profession demands integrity, accountability, and a genuine desire to serve others. Law enforcement is not just a job; it’s a responsibility to your community and your team. Be prepared to work hard, stay humble, and continuously learn.
