"Building trust starts with building a relationship based on transparency around how models perform – and how the models are actually going to help providers accomplish the clinical or administrative workflows for the health system that they have front and center." Yesterday at HLTH2025, CHAI CEO Brian Anderson, MD spoke on a panel about how AI can reinvigorate Medicaid & Medicare to improve healthcare access and the critical role of startups in reaching rural and low-resourced populations. Thank you to Washington State Health Care Authority’s Christopher Chen, MD, MBA, Mae’s Maya Hardigan, and Fortuna Health’s Nikita Singareddy for sharing your valuable perspectives and to Town Hall Ventures’s Meera Mani, MD-PhD for leading this important discussion on how innovation and technology can shape the future of health AI. #HealthcareOnLinkedIn #HealthAI #AI #HLTHUSA

“In healthcare research, if someone developed a novel therapy or surgical method, it would be shared everywhere. In the world of AI, we haven't seen that as much yet, but CHAI is critical to scaling adoption and getting to the best place faster.” Read our recent Q&A with insights from Sebastien Rhodes, Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Triomics, one of our valued CHAI startup members. Sebastien shares Triomic’s approach to effectively extract key data elements from unstructured data sources so that every single patient with an appointment gets screened for clinical research, proactively supplying key insights to providers. Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) reposted this
As an inaugural member of URAC’s AI Accreditation Advisory Group and an early participant in multiple Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) workgroups, I’ve seen firsthand how complex and essential the creation of responsible AI standards can be. Without some degree of alignment, AI implementation in healthcare becomes exponentially more difficult, and patients ultimately lose access to innovations that could meaningfully improve outcomes. In my recent discussion with Gabriel Perna at Modern Healthcare I spoke about how “aligning toward a standard makes it easier for a vendor coming in. Trying to align with 2,000-plus different hospitals across 600-plus health systems can be overwhelming for startups and almost lock them out if the assessment task is so complex that they can’t break through.” Public–private partnerships remain one of the most agile and powerful ways to advance thoughtful, safe, and scalable adoption of AI across the health ecosystem.
