The Barcelona Declaration group is set to continue the work of Metadata 20/20, I4OC, and I4OA by bringing university, library, funding, publishing, and other stakeholders together to make open research information (i.e. open metadata) the default, something that aligns 100% with Crossref's mission.
We are delighted to announce the next steps in progressing the work of the Barcelona Declaration for Open Research Information. https://lnkd.in/eTerDVWi Firstly, the working groups are almost ready to go, with coordinators appointed for almost all of them. Also, Bianca Kramer has been appointed Executive Director 🎉 (& will soon hire for a Community Manager). We have secured admin and funding support for the next three years, and we are readying to discuss with signatories and supporters the creation of a new board. Thanks to everyone involved so far, and congratulations to Bianca, who will lead this effort alongside her other consulting work.
