FRQ (Fonds de recherche du Québec) is now the funder member in Crossref with the most grant records (over 22,000). They explain their "fast adoption" and the reasons and benefits at our annual meeting taking place now #Crossref2025
Antoine Drouin, M.A. from Fonds de recherche du Québec explains their journey to adopt Crossref's Grant Linking System (GLS) as "high benefit for low investment", the benefits he sees include good member service and constant improvements, wanting to be a leader in open science in Canada, and the ability to trace funding and outputs as well as assessments. A major plus is also the integrations with ROR - Research Organization Registry and ORCID.
