When working in environments with potentially hazardous chemicals in the air, workers are required to wear a small air sampling pump to ensure adequate safety levels. SKC Inc. partnered with Daedalus to develop their Pocket Pump TOUCH, an award-winning low-flow personal sampling pump with a first-in-class touch screen interface. Exciting news from our client, Onsite ICF: their patent for the foam block technology we helped develop has officially been granted! The system presses 600 insulated blocks each week, making durable, affordable housing a reality. The design makes demolding easier with removable pins and a split mold. It also achieves high mechanical integration with fewer parts, using aluminum sand-cast molds that can be produced and distributed economically worldwide. Huge congrats to the inventors, Steve Ross, PE, founder of Onsite ICF, and Drew Degentesh, one of the Daedalus principals. We are proud to have supported this breakthrough.
