Turning Data into Action ✅ In Northern Malawi, a single road connects the Malawi Blood Transfusion Service hub in Mzuzu to hospitals in Karonga and Chitipa. When floods wash out bridges, life-saving blood deliveries stall and emergencies become critical. Africa CAN Fellow, Steven Bowah, turned this frontline challenge into evidence for action. By analyzing blood requests and deliveries and combining quantitative trends with interviews from couriers, hospitals, and disaster management officials, Steven and partners identified how floods disrupt supply chains and how data can guide solutions. Through local collaboration, Steven’s project shows how leading with localism, building trust, and connecting cross-sector partners can drive meaningful change. This is the power of the #CapacityAcceleratorNetwork and purpose-driven #data and #AI practitioners tackling systemic challenges at the intersection of #climate and #health. 💡 Learn more about the impact of Steven’s project in a new impact story from Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data: https://lnkd.in/eHbwUUp9 #AfricaCAN #ClimateHealthData #DataDrivesImpact #AIDrivesImpact Annita Mwagiru, Priyank Hirani, Shivam Shukla 🏳️⚧️ 🏳️🌈, Diana Fajardo Pulido, Cormekki Whitley, Ph D, Danil Mikhailov, Felipe J Colón-González, Florence Nguuni, Andrew Njiyo, Aboubacar DIALLO, ICON Data and Learning Labs (IDL), Temie Giwa - Tubosun

Since 2020, we've led 5 global innovation challenges, drawing more than 2,400 submissions across 150 countries. In our latest for Devex, our Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships Lindsey Gottschalk shares key insights from this work, and what they reveal about how #data and #AI are transforming social impact. The biggest takeaways? 💡Responsible AI requires an organizational culture shift. 💡Capacity is not (yet!) evenly distributed. 💡Localism unlocks how the global majority wants AI to work for them. Tap into these valuable data and AI strategies and put them to work in service of your mission. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eJG3Yfu5 #DataDrivesImpact #AIDrivesImpact #InclusiveGrowth Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, The Rockefeller Foundation, Microsoft, Zoom, Payal Dalal, Uyi Stewart, PhD, Tilly Josephson, Josh Kallmer, Casey Ryu, Bridget Moriarty, Perry Hewitt, Joanne Jan, Shubhi Vijay, Ginger Zielinskie

Picture what’s possible: purpose-driven #data and #AI practitioners are driving inclusive growth across Asia. Last week, Cormekki Whitley, Ph D Whitley took the stage at the inaugural Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit to debate a defining question: is innovation the most powerful lever for inclusive growth? While there were strong arguments on both sides of the debate, DataDotOrg’s point of view is clear: innovation and technology alone are not the greatest drivers of economic resilience—people are. Capacity, trust, and collaboration are what ensure a prosperous and inclusive future for all. #AIGS2025 #ASEANInclusiveGrowth #InclusiveGrowth #AIforGood #AIDrivesImpact #DataDrivesImpact Subhashini (Shuba) Chandran, Payal Dalal, Shabnam Akhter, Emma Stanton, Nur Hasan, Uyi Stewart, PhD, Priyank Hirani, Helena Zhang, Jack Lew, Asian Institute of Digital Finance, Jackie W., APRU, Ming T., Nimisha Tailor, Dorron Mottes, Perry Hewitt, Emma Donelan, Lindsey Gottschalk

Picture what’s possible: #data and #AI readiness is accelerating social impact. As part of the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026 pre-summit event series, DataDotOrg led an in-person session in NYC on the Data Maturity Assessment, a free tool that helps social impact organizations evaluate their data and AI readiness and chart actionable next steps. Our own Shubhi Vijay guided participants through the tool and demonstrated how building data and AI capacity can advance an organization’s mission. Participants left with practical resources and a roadmap for leveraging data and AI for good. #IndiaAIImpactSummit2026 #DataDrivesImpact #AIDrivesImpact #AIForGood Abhishek Singh, Kavita Bhatia, Swadeep Singh, Perry Hewitt, Donnel Baird, Rebecca Ruf, Center for Responsible Hospitality, Alex Maza, The Policy Academies, Mark S. Energizing morning at Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth's ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit in Kuala Lumpur learning about Inclusive Innovation and Digital Trust alongside 100 catalysts of change from 21 countries. My colleague, Cormekki Whitley, Ph D and our #CapacityAcceleratorNetwork partner, Asian Institute of Digital Finance - National University of Singapore's Helena Zhang highlighted the need for global frameworks with locally contextual implementation models, digital literacy trainings, building capacity of small businesses as they continue to power #ASEAN's growth and keeping people at the centre of partnerships to leave no one behind. The analogy of all of us sailing in one boat with many oars in one waters by Maoi Arroyo deeply resonated with me. In a recent article by Christina Schönleber from APRU International Secretariat and I, we share 3 specific programs launched as part of the #CapacityAcceleratorNetwork over the past year to drive workforce development and advance MSMEs on their digital transformation journey in an attempt to address some of the challenges being explored at the Changemakers Day at #AIGS25 today. #AIGS25 Subhashini (Shuba) Chandran Emma Stanton Jackie W.
