It’s hard to believe it’s already been almost a month since the final DIAMAS Project final conference, and what an incredible milestone it was! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it possible: the speakers, moderators, participants, the fantastic KBR team, and the dedicated DIAMAS and EDCH teams who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Looking back, a few key messages still resonate strongly: 🔸 Diamond OA is all about community. Supporting it means investing in skills and training: for editors, researchers, and service providers alike. 🔸 Diamond OA is an ecosystem. It only works if all parts - local, national, European, and global - are supported together. That’s both its strength and its challenge. 🔸 Governance is essential. We need transparent, accountable structures across journals, infrastructures, and funders to build trust and coordination. 🔸 We’ve moved from recognition to action. Now’s the time for collective, concrete steps to reach critical mass and reshape the publishing landscape. 🔸 Finally, a powerful reminder: Diamond OA connects science and society. If we believe in it, we also need to be able to explain it, clearly, simply, and beyond our usual circles!
