Announcing a $4.7M seed fundraise for Pangolin (YC S25), led by Chemistry with participation from Y Combinator, Blast Club, 468 Capital, Transpose Platform, Pioneer Fund, and a number of amazing angels. Ten months ago, we released Pangolin as an open source project. Since then, we've hit 15,000+ GitHub stars and reached millions of people as our community has created content and spread the word organically. Pangolin (YC S25) is an open-source infrastructure tool that simplifies how applications connect to the internet. But this is just the start. We're building the entire next generation of network tooling where privacy and security aren't afterthoughts, they're the entire point. This funding is about doubling down on open source. Our community has driven everything we've built, and we're committed to keeping the OSS project free and useful. The capital gives us runway to support the community properly, invest in the core project, and continue to build out our commercial offering for teams that need enterprise features and extra reliability without compromising on what makes Pangolin different. If you care about the future of secure, private, open-source infrastructure, check us out at digpangolin.com. Also, we're hiring! digpangolin.com/careers

Pangolin (YC S25) just crossed 15,000 GitHub stars in 10 months. That makes it one of the top and fastest‑growing networking & service exposure tools on GitHub alongside long‑standing products like cloudflared, ngrok, and frp. What’s been most exciting: this hasn’t been a single viral spike, but steady, sustained growth driven mostly by word of mouth and organic discovery. In OSS, that’s a clear signal we're solving real problems. Huge thanks to everyone who’s starred, used, and contributed to Pangolin!

Ever wish you could declaratively configure Cloudflare Tunnels? That’s exactly what we engineered into Pangolin, our open‑source, self‑hosted alternative. We call them Blueprints: write your proxy configs in YAML or Docker labels, and Pangolin automatically spins up tunnels, domains, auth, load balancing, health checks, and more when your stack comes online. Pangolin Cloud now integrates with any identity provider for SSO: Attach Google, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and any OAuth2/OIDC provider to your organization in Pangolin Cloud and Self‑hosted. Your team can log in with the accounts they already use, whether accessing the Pangolin dashboard for network management or applications running behind the Pangolin proxy. We’ve also added support for custom authentication domains, so users log in through a familiar URL (like auth.yourcompany.com) instead of a generic page. Pangolin Cloud is expanding to the EU: We launched last month with PoPs across North America. Now we’ve expanded into Europe, adding new points of presence to bring traffic closer to users. Our agent automatically picks the optimal PoP based on latency and other metrics, then routes traffic through the nearest tunnel before reaching your private network. For EU users, that means lower latency and more stable connections. More regions are on the way! Full update here: https://lnkd.in/eJzBUuWB

Looking for a self-hosted, privacy-respecting way to expose internal services, without sacrificing security? Pangolin (YC S25) lets you tunnel traffic through a reverse proxy you fully control. And when combined with CrowdSec, it becomes much more than a Cloudflare Tunnel alternative, it’s a proactive, threat-aware access gateway. Together, they give you control, visibility, and community-powered protection. 👉 Read more about the integration: https://lnkd.in/d9BFnUgd #selfhosted #cybersecurity #infosec

Pangolin (YC S25) is an open-source, self-hostable alternative to Cloudflare Tunnels, Zscaler ZPA, and Ngrok. It provides a simple way to securely expose applications on private networks with identity-aware access control and high availability while retaining data sovereignty. Since launching 5 months ago, they've seen 12,600+ GitHub stars, 140,000+ installs, and 2,700+ Discord members. Providing users with secure access to internal tools and infrastructure is cumbersome for both end users and administrators. They're forced to manage complex VPN clients, servers, and network configurations that create friction and operational overhead. Drop in the Pangolin connector in your network, and: - Expose anything to the internet: Instantly create a secure tunnel to internal services on your private network and access via web browsers. - Manage access control with ease: Grant access to your services with user and role-based permissions, PIN codes, temporary share links, or email OTPs. - Own your infrastructure: Self-host your own Pangolin Nodes, so data flows through your servers, and our Cloud will handle coordination and failover for out-of-the-box high availability.
