About us

Diversify CCAM by integrating the European cultural and regional variations in the design and implementation of citizen-friendly solutions to foster mobility equity. Cooperative, connected, and automated mobility (CCAM) solutions can greatly benefit the EU mobility systems. However, their adoption has been slow due to low societal demand, as they struggle to integrate smoothly into current systems and clearly convey their benefits. The EU-funded Diversify-CCAM project will address this challenge by developing a diversification tool, integrating cultural, geographical, and policy considerations into the design and development process of CCAM solutions. To achieve this goal, the project will establish 12 pilot sites in six EU countries, examining differences in CCAM implementation between rural and urban environments, and identifying barriers to the acceptance and efficiency of CCAM.

  • Day 1️⃣ of the Diversify-CCAM Stakeholder Board Meeting in Rhodes! 🇬🇷 What a great start to our second Stakeholder Advisory Board & Community Meeting here in Rhodes, one of our project’s pilot sites. Day 1 brought together policymakers, transport planners, CCAM developers and local stakeholders to: 🔹 Explore the conceptual model and baseline survey, shaping how inclusivity and diversity are integrated into #CCAM. 🔹Hear pilot-specific insights from Barcelona and Monheim, sparking discussions on real-world mobility needs. 🔹Gain perspectives from local planners including UITP, POLIS network, Autoritat del Transport Metropolità, and EMT Madrid on inclusivity at regional and urban levels. 🔹 Work in breakout groups to test the first mock-up of the Diversify-CCAM CCAM Tool — providing feedback on usability, relevance, and how local contexts can shape better solutions. The active participation — both in person and online — highlighted the importance of anchoring our work in lived experiences and local realities, especially in diverse settings such as Rhodes, where tourism and rural mobility intersect. 👏 A big thank you to all speakers, moderators and participants for the rich discussions and constructive feedback today. Tomorrow we continue with developer perspectives, international insights, and a panel on inclusivity & diversity in CCAM. #DiversifyCCAM #InclusiveMobility #StakeholderEngagement

  • 📍 Last week, Diversify-CCAM was proud to be showcased during the final event of the SINFONICA Project in Brussels. 🚎 SINFONICA, also funded by the European Commission, was established with the goal of making future transport operations, including #CCAM systems, more inclusive, sustainable, and fair. The project focused on understanding the needs, wishes, and concerns of everyone involved in transport, with special attention to the needs of vulnerable users and under-researched groups. During the event, Ignacio Magallón Hernández (Bax Innovation) participated in an insightful panel discussion, presenting details of Diversify-CCAM before partaking in an exchange on how related initiatives including CulturalRoad Project, MOVE2CCAM, OptiPEx, ULTIMO project and more can leverage and build upon the progress made by SINFONICA in the coming years. Reflecting on the event, Ignacio commented: 🗣️ "Joining the panel with other peer projects allowed us to identify common challenges to overcome, such as communicating the scope and potential of CCAM to a diverse range of stakeholders. It also raised awareness about relevant outputs developed by SINFONICA, including the Knowledge Map Explorer, to build our developments upon." Moving forward, Diversify-CCAM will use the lessons from the SINFONICA Project in our continued efforts to ensure mobility is fair and accessible across Europe. Congratulations to all involved in SINFONICA for a great event and successful project! 🌐 Learn more about the Diversify-CCAM initiative at: https://diversify-ccam.eu/
