Today, we brought together our entire Dwelling Place team for a well-deserved staff celebration at John Ball Zoo. 🦁 The day began with valuable Fair Housing training, followed by lunch from Mom & Pop’s Shack with live music from Funkle Jesse, and an afternoon of games, raffle prizes, and time to simply connect. Big news: the City of Grand Rapids has approved Dwelling Place’s riverfront affordable housing project at 427–449 Market Ave SW. This $20–30M investment will create 80 new affordable homes along the riverfront — plus a public plaza with space for food trucks, live music, and community gathering near the Acrisure Amphitheater.
