Today, we’re launching eBay’s Global 2025 Recommerce Report and the findings make one thing clear: recommerce has officially gone mainstream. ♻️ ➡️ Nearly 9 in 10 consumers plan to maintain or increase their spending on second-hand goods in 2025. ➡️ Younger generations are driving this trend, with 59% of Gen Z and 56% of Millennials expecting to buy more pre-loved items in the coming year. ➡️ 68% of eBay buyers say they feel good about giving products a second life and 63% of eBay sellers share that same sentiment. This momentum reflects more than changing shopping habits; it signals a deeper cultural shift toward mindful consumption and financial empowerment. It’s a shift that was front and center today in Brussels at Second-Hand, First Priority, where I had the privilege of joining leaders and policymakers to advance the conversation on sustainable commerce.
