🎉 Celebrating #50years of the European Court of Auditors’ establishment! 👑 Today, we had the honour of welcoming His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, #CourGrandDucale, alongside distinguished representatives from European and Luxembourgish administrations to the European Court of Auditors: European Parliament’s Vice-President and Budgetary Control Committee Chair, European Commission Representation in Luxembourg, Ville de Luxembourg Mayor, Ministry of Finance, Luxembourg Minister, and Luxembourg Chambre des Députés President. The Grand Duke met with ECA Members and Directors to commemorate the #EUauditors founding under the #TreatyofBrussels, which reaches its 50th anniversary later this month. ✨ This special occasion highlights the importance of our mission and our commitment to enhancing trust and serving #EUcitizens.

Today, Lucian Romașcanu takes up his duties as the new ECA Member for Romania. 🇷🇴 🇪🇺 Mr Romașcanu was appointed for the period from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2031 and replaces Viorel Ștefan. Welcome to the European Court of Auditors!

The 27th INTOSAI Professional Standards Committee (PSC) Steering Committee met on 26-27 June 2025 at the European Court of Auditors and online to reflect on critical challenges and define future priorities for public sector auditing standards. Chaired by ECA Member Helga Berger, the PSC Steering Committee coordinates the work of the PSC and ensures it supports INTOSAI’s strategic objectives.
