Why should Diamond Open Access infrastructures be part of EOSC? Because they already serve thousands of researchers across Europe — offering peer review, editorial, and dissemination services with no author-facing charges. These services: 🔸 Are mission-driven, not market-driven 🔸 Prioritise inclusion, multilingualism, and equity 🔸 Operate within academic institutions — not for-profit platforms Yet they often sit outside of EOSC funding, interoperability standards, or strategic planning. The DIAMAS policy brief recommends: 🔸 Actively integrating Diamond infrastructures into EOSC coordination 🔸 Ensuring funding, visibility, and interoperability for nonprofit platforms 🔸 Aligning EOSC development with community-led publishing needs Because openness without diversity is exclusion by design. 👉 See how DIAMAS bridges the gap between EOSC and community publishing → https://buff.ly/0ddSppD #DIAMASProject #EOSC #DiamondOA #PolicyAction #ResearchInfrastructure #OpenScience #NonprofitPublishing #CommunityInfrastructures #Inclusion

The European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is Europe’s flagship for open research infrastructure. But to make EOSC truly inclusive, we must ensure it reflects the diversity of the scholarly publishing landscape — including community-led, nonprofit infrastructures. The DIAMAS policy brief highlights a critical gap: Diamond Open Access and institutional publishing infrastructures are often underrepresented in EOSC-related initiatives. The recommendation: 🔸 Ensure EOSC policies and platforms support Diamond OA infrastructures 🔸 Prioritise inclusion of community-led, non-commercial services in EOSC governance and workflows 🔸 Foster interoperability and recognition for institutional publishing services Because a truly open science cloud must include every voice — and every infrastructure — contributing to open knowledge. 👉 Learn more about EOSC→ https://buff.ly/4DjFnzA #DIAMASProject #EOSC #DiamondOA #OpenAccess #PolicyAction #ResearchInfrastructure #OpenScience #CommunityPublishing #Inclusion #EDCH

Diamond Open Access and Open Research Europe (ORE) don’t compete — they complement each other. Both aim to make publicly funded research openly available. Both prioritise quality, equity, and non-commercial publishing. But today, they still operate too far apart. The DIAMAS policy brief recommends bridging that gap: 🔸 Align infrastructures and editorial standards 🔸 Enable shared workflows and co-development 🔸 Increase mutual visibility and trust Collaboration between ORE and Diamond OA strengthens the entire open science ecosystem — and benefits researchers across Europe. 👉 Explore More about Open Research Europe→ https://buff.ly/9Ram4t9 #DIAMASProject #OpenResearchEurope #DiamondOA #OpenAccess #PolicyAction #ResearchPublishing #Infrastructure #OpenScience
