Justice systems are becoming more digital, accessible, and efficient across the EU. Since 2013, the EU Justice Scoreboard has tracked the efficiency, quality and independence of national justice systems. New in this year’s edition:  🔹 In 24 🇪🇺 countries, people and businesses can access their civil, commercial, and administrative cases online.  🔹 19 🇪🇺 countries have mechanisms to enforce administrative court rulings.  🔹 24 🇪u countries have court buildings that are accessible for people living with a disability or with reduced mobility. The EU Justice Scoreboard is one of the sources of information for the annual Rule of Law Report, which monitors respect for the principle that everyone is accountable to the same law and that it is applied fairly and equally. Did you know that in the EU, minors cannot be targeted by online ads? 🚫 Under the Digital Services Act, targeted advertising is NOT allowed for minors.    The evidence base is provided by a team of scientists from the European Centre for Algorithmic Transparency.    They are helping the EU to better understand the world of algorithms and to regulate online activities.    Our scientists are also studying the long-term impacts of algorithmic systems, to help the EU develop future-proof and safer policies.

🇪🇺 Voting in European elections just got easier if you live in another EU country.    We welcome the adoption of our proposal to ensure the same voting rights for Europeans who live in a different EU country as locals in European elections. Member States have until June 2027 to put these changes into practice, ensuring timely, clear information, more voting options, and easier registration for everyone.
