When you visit a First Tee program, you'll witness something unique in youth development—a dynamic, activity-based approach that engages young people through games, challenges, and hands-on experiences. Using cones, hula hoops, putting competitions, and chipping games, our coaches create an environment where learning feels like play. These activities teach golf fundamentals while seamlessly integrating life skills like patience, strategic thinking, and healthy competition. This experiential approach makes golf accessible to all skill levels and keeps participants coming back.

About us
First Tee enables young people to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, we create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that they carry through everything they do. Beginning in 1997 as a partnership among the LPGA, the Masters Tournament, the PGA of America, the PGA TOUR, and the USGA, First Tee is committed to furthering our positive momentum and building educational programs that are safe, welcoming, and as impactful as they are fun. Together with our chapters, school and community partners, we are strengthening our resolve to be agents of change for young people of all backgrounds as they navigate life’s challenges.

At First Tee, we know kids thrive when they feel safe, supported, and inspired. That’s why we manage our classes with care — on and off the golf course. Here’s what that looks like for your child: ✅ Coaches who build relationships first — greeting kids by name and making them feel like they belong. ✅ Clear expectations that keep everyone safe while learning and having fun. ✅ Active, engaging sessions designed to keep kids moving, learning, and supporting each other. ✅ Consistent routines that build comfort and confidence. ✅ Trained coaches who are more than instructors — they’re mentors, here to help kids grow in golf and in life. When we create a positive, structured space, we’re not just teaching golf — we’re helping kids build character, confidence, and life skills.
