Florida's insurance market continues to see great stability and the strong underwriting gains in the auto market is just the latest sign of success since Florida's historic tort reforms. Commissioner Yaworsky is bringing companies to the table to remind them of their statutory obligations to return excess profits to policyholders, including nearly $1 billion in credits to Progressive auto policyholders.

ICYMI: Florida Politics: Gov. DeSantis says reforms have improved homeowners insurance market https://lnkd.in/esP5bvfa

That’s right! When reform works, consumers win! State Farm highlighted the progress of our historic reforms: “In 2023, the Legislature passed HB 837, a monumental litigation reform package addressing lawsuit abuse. Rather than accept the status quo of ever-increasing litigation, lawmakers enacted reforms that changed the litigation landscape, reducing litigation and lowering litigation costs which in turn lowered the cost of auto insurance for many Florida families.” https://lnkd.in/ekcYCWgM
