About us
Established in 1989, Fortune School is a multifaceted nonprofit organization committed to educating tomorrow's leaders. Fortune’s portfolio includes a network of tuition free public charter schools focused on closing the African American achievement gap - serving grades transitional kindergarten through 12th, and providing educator preparation programs for teachers and administrators that are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Our education philosophy, The Five Pillars sets the tone for the culture we embody. We also have three very simple rules for adults and children who participate in our programs. Five Pillars High Expectations Choice and Commitment More Time Focus on Results Citizenship Three Rules Listen Respect Work Hard We lead with a growth mindset because we know we are the architects of our own Fortune.
