PFAS are often added to fabrics to make them waterproof or stain-proof.. But they don’t stay locked in: washing, wearing, and even folding can release them into your home, your body, and the environment. Here’s what to know: 🔎 Potential label cues: Durable Water Repellent (DWR), waterproof, stain-resistant, oil-resistant, GORE-TEX®. 👕 Safer swaps: Untreated natural fibers (cotton, hemp, linen, silk, wool) or PFAS-free performance fabrics (brands that disclose and test). And with Function, you can access advanced tests* to understand your PFAS exposure, including: • PFAS – Branched Perfluorooctanoic Acid Isomers • PFAS – Branched Perfluorooctane Sulfonic Acid Isomers • PFAS – Linear Perfluorooctanoic Acid Isomers • PFAS – Linear Perfluorooctane Sulfonic Acid Isomers • PFAS – MeFOSAAPFAS – NASEM Summation • PFAS – Perfluorohexane Sulfonic Acid • PFAS – Perfluoroundecanoic Acid Invisible doesn’t mean harmless. Start with your closet. *These Add-On Tests are available for an additional cost and are not included in the $499 membership. Not medical advice. For months, Danielle was so exhausted she could not get through a single day without 3-hour naps. She got access to 100+ lab tests through Function and discovered elevated mercury. It’s a test that would rarely be offered in routine care, but is absolutely standard for Function members. She eliminated high-mercury seafood and supported her body's detox. Her mercury levels dropped and her energy came back.

Your DNA doesn’t have to be your destiny. Research shows that many health outcomes are shaped more by daily choices than by genetic code. The way you eat, sleep, move, and even think is reflected in your biomarkers. By harnessing those patterns, you replace guesswork with clarity and start supporting your body’s natural ability to thrive.

A 2002 study linked estrogen-progestin therapy to higher breast cancer risk — a finding that changed the conversation on women’s hormones for decades. Today, research shows that both the type of therapy and when it is started matter. With Function Health, you get data and insights to understand how your body is changing and track those changes over time. Feat. Naz Perez

Turns out my biological age is… older than my actual age. 😅 I just got my first Function Health results back — and my biological age came in one month older than my calendar age. Womp womp. I’ve always thought of myself as a healthy person. I work out regularly, lift weights, eat pretty well… but some of my biomarkers tell a different story. The data showed a few areas where I can make changes — especially around nutrition — and I’m leaning in. My plan is to tweak my diet over the next few months and see what happens to my biological age in the next round of tests. What’s fascinating (and humbling) is how empowering it feels to see the full picture. Instead of guessing, I can actually see what’s working and what’s not. It’s one thing to talk about ownership and growth at work — it’s another to experience it in your own body. I’ll keep posting little updates as my Function Health journey unfolds. Here’s to a little less guesswork, a little more awareness, and the motivation that comes with having real insight into your health. 💪✨

We’re so glad Becky from Good Morning America tested her health through Function — because what she found matters, and wouldn’t have been caught in a typical annual physical. Becky said she found: -Elevated small LDL particles. -Positive ANA test. -Low omega-3s and iron. These aren’t small findings — they’re signals that can shape long-term health. But an “expert,” claimed “a lot of these tests can be obtained from your regular doctor.” Unfortunately, that’s rarely the case. The average annual physical runs an average of 26 biomarkers. It too often skips thyroid, autoimmune, hormone, nutrient, toxin, and inflammation markers. “My doctor said not to worry about my cholesterol,” Becky said. But that’s why those seemingly small imbalances matter. This is what proactive testing is for. Function includes 100+ lab tests that map your health in detail. This is crucial. It’s not about replacing doctors or testing just to test. It’s about giving you better visibility into your health. But as the segment claimed, “that puts the onus on you.” Exactly. YOU should be in charge. More data means a more complete picture. When people understand what’s happening inside their bodies, they can act sooner and change the course of their lives. That’s why Function exists: to make proactive, advanced lab testing accessible and actionable.

Eat more fiber. That’s always good advice. But there’s another reason: Studies have found a correlation between eating soluble fiber and lower levels of PFAS. Here’s how it may work: Soluble fiber lowers cholesterol by binding bile acids in the gut and preventing their reabsorption. Because PFAS share similar biochemical properties with bile acids, researchers think fiber could also bind to PFAS, reducing their reabsorption and helping the body clear them. Meaning “forever chemicals” may not be so forever. Research is early, but hopeful: What you put on your plate could help lighten the toxic load. Curious about your own exposure? Function offers optional PFAS add-on tests to help you measure and track your levels.* *These add-on tests are available for an additional cost and are not included in the $499 membership.
