I'm celebrating unBurnt turning 1 today! 🥳
Betting on myself and founding a company has been everything I hoped for.
And it's true what they say: like nothing I could have expected.
It's really a weird thing to be certain and uncertain all day, every day.
I launched unBurnt with a mission and a lofty goal.
→ The mission: help people recover from burnout and feel less alone.
→ The goal: redefine success beyond a one-sized-fits-all version of hustle culture, while destigmatizing the shame and risk in naming stress and overwhelm.
The HOW is still very much a work-in progress in true 0>1 fashion.
But I have learned so much, and brick by brick, I'm figuring it out.
I've had the privilege of working with some really incredible clients.
I've conducted a few hundred discovery calls at this point.
I've faltered and doubted myself more times that I can count.
I've launched my own research in partnership with Bentley.
I've had really proud moments, followed *immediately* by huge let downs.
I've celebrated far too few times, but have gotten better over time.
I've grown my network with so, so many talented and inspirational people.
I've been riddled with not-enough-ness almost every day.
And through it all...
I've had this infallible belief that what I'm doing matters.
A small part of a much larger shift that's happening in our world right now.
Movements that are:
- Naming invisible labor & creating solutions to help mothers carry the load.
- Creating more conversations and change around care solutions.
- Getting to root causes of friction at work, surrounding teams in support.
- Lifting up leaders with human-centric solutions.
- Building innovative products to leverage AI for the betterment of society.
The energy in this shift is palpable
The call to be part of this change is loud.
I feel certain this is the work I've always been destined to do.
Above all, the most energizing part of this journey has been the PEOPLE. ✨
There are way to many to tag here, but to each and every person who has helped, celebrated, listened, advised, taught, connected me with someone else, and been in my corner - THANK YOU!!
None of us can do it alone, and knowing that you all have been in along for this journey with me means more than any business milestone ever will.
