This past week, Goodwill Industries International team members from across the country came together in Rockville, MD for an inspiring week of connection, learning and collaboration. Team members deepened their understanding of one another to build stronger foundations for how we work today and tomorrow. We also heard from our President and CEO, Steven C. Preston, and explored the transformative potential of #AI. A highlight was lunch with our Board, where everyone had the opportunity to engage directly, share details of everyone's work and discuss the initiatives shaping 2026 and beyond. I joined Rikki Cafferty and Anthony Martinez, two justice-impacted leaders whose lives were transformed through Goodwill re-entry programs. Second chance individuals can dramatically change their lives, with the right support. Our participants overwhelmingly defy the national statistics every day. 2. Because the case is so compelling, we need to commit to building access and capabilities to break this cycle that exists today. Last year, Goodwill served 66,000 people who self-disclosed as justice-impacted. The actual number is surely much higher.
