Gunster goes global in celebration of legal tradition abroad! Shareholder William K. Hill, Secretary-Operations Officer of the ABA International Law Section, attended the Opening of the London Legal Year. William joined distinguished legal leaders at this historic event, honoring centuries-old traditions and reaffirming a global commitment to justice and the rule of law.
👑 Spotlight on the Opening of the London Legal Year! The Section's Chair-Elect Ed Mullins, and Secretary-Operations Officer William K. Hill participated in the Opening of the London Legal Year. The Opening of the Legal Year (OLY) for England and Wales takes place annually with a traditional religious service at Westminster Abbey, followed by a breakfast at the Houses of Parliament, to mark the formal beginning of the judicial year. Ed and William attended numerous distinguished events with American Bar Association President Michelle Behnke, and other ABA leaders. This centuries-old ceremony dates back to the Middle Ages, when judges would walk from Westminster Hall to the Abbey for prayer and guidance before starting the legal term. The event has become a significant occasion for judges and legal professionals to celebrate the rule of law and reaffirm their commitment to justice. See highlights from the event. #London #OpeningoftheLegalYear #WestminsterAbbey #Parliament
