The Hamilton County Domestic Violence Task Force presented its first-year report to County Commissioners today, highlighting major progress in improving support for survivors. Efforts over the past year have focused on expanding access to advocates, enhancing courtroom safety, improving the process for protection orders, providing trauma-informed training for staff, and strengthening collaboration between law enforcement, courts, and healthcare partners to ensure a coordinated response across Hamilton County. Now, Hamilton County Planning + Development and the First Suburbs Consortium of Southwest Ohio are asking residents to help shape solutions. Hamilton County Emergency Communication Center was honored at the Hamilton County Mental Health and Recovery Board’s annual meeting and awards program. Ops Manager Brown, CS2 Wainscott, and Communication Officers Rebekah Knapp and Jess Mills represented our team, alongside colleagues from City of Cincinnati 911 and our Hamilton County 988 operators. Together, we were recognized for our contributions to strengthening mental health support in our community and presented with a resolution in our honor. We’re proud of our staff’s dedication and grateful for this recognition of their hard work.
