Vitamin A is an essential micronutrient that helps protect children’s sight, health, and lives. 💊 A twice-yearly dose of vitamin A through age five can help prevent blindness and reduce childhood mortality by more than 25%. 👶🏽 And it only costs a little more than $1 per dose. 💜🤍 https://vist.ly/4bks5

Vision: A world where every person can live a healthy life filled with potential.
About us
Helen Keller, our co-founder, envisioned a world without barriers to human potential. Guided by her fierce optimism, Helen Keller Intl has been working on the front lines of health and well-being for more than 100 years. We deliver life-changing health care to vulnerable families in places where the need is great, but access is limited. Our proven, science-based programs empower people to create opportunities in their own lives. Since we were founded in 1915, our work has evolved from providing assistance to soldiers blinded during their service in World War I. Today, our programs prioritize preventing and treating vision loss and blindness—as well as addressing major global health problems such as malnutrition and neglected diseases that threaten sight, productivity, and well-being. In the U.S., Africa, and Asia, Helen Keller International’s proven, science-based programs empower people to create opportunities in their own lives and build lasting change. We build the capacity of local government, non-profit and private sector systems and infrastructure, and promote the development of sustained, large scale programs that deliver effective solutions to preventable vision loss and malnutrition. Guided by Helen’s vision and optimism, we believe it is possible to eliminate preventable vision loss, malnutrition, and neglected tropical diseases and improve the well-being of millions of children and vulnerable families.

Congratulations to the Helen Keller Intl team who received the Jury Prize at the Pitch Your Partnership competition organized by the Netherlands Food Partnership for World Food Day 2025! 🎉 The model presented by the team takes a holistic approach to improving nutrition integrated across health, food, and education systems. 💜🤍 Tom Van Mourik Shawn Baker Rolf Klemm
I am pleased to share some exciting news from the World Food Day 2025 event organized by the Netherlands Food Partnership (NFP) in The Hague. Our INAS Model— developed and implemented in Cambodia—was selected as one of two winners (from the five finalists from 39 submissions to present a one-minute pitch) during the “Pitch Your Partnership” competition. The pitch, delivered by Dr. Tom Van Mourik, Helen Keller International’s Global Food Systems Specialist, highlighted the INAS concept’s integrated approach linking Health, Food, and Education systems to improve nutrition outcomes. Thank you, Dr. Tom, for your pitch on our behalf. We are delighted to inform you that the INAS Model won the Jury Prize for its creativity and systems-thinking approach. While the prize does not include direct funding, it comes with support from NFP to facilitate partnership development and ideation, offering valuable opportunities to expand collaboration and visibility for the INAS approach. This recognition demonstrates how Cambodia’s leadership and experience in developing the INAS model are inspiring broader global efforts to strengthen integrated nutrition systems. We will follow up with NFP in the coming weeks to explore next steps for partnership opportunities. Thank you, HE Co-Chairs and all leaders of INAS for your leadership. https://lnkd.in/gUvu2h64

When Rojina Begum's eyes began to bother her, she tried visiting a local eye hospital for a vision screening, but it was both costly and time-consuming. 👀 Then she learned about the new one-stop eye care center that the factory where she works had established in partnership with Helen Keller Intl. 🤓 Rojina was able to easily get a no-cost vision screening and purchase glasses at a discount in one simple visit. 💜🤍 Read more: https://vist.ly/4bbiw
