The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine reposted this
Last night I was honored and humbled to attend the Heroes of Military Medicine Ambassador Awards for the fourth consecutive year, hosted by The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. Each year, I leave feeling deeply inspired by the extraordinary individuals who dedicate their lives to advancing military healthcare and improving outcomes for service members and their families. Jason and I were once again grateful to join this incredible event, which opened with powerful remarks from San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones, recognizing our city’s proud legacy of military service and innovation. The evening highlighted medical professionals whose groundbreaking work continues to push the boundaries of care and recovery for our nation’s heroes. A special acknowledgment to Dr. Joseph Caravalho and the entire organizing team for another beautifully executed evening that honors the heart and humanity behind military medicine. The night concluded with an unforgettable tribute from Chris Hiatt, a fellow USAA employee, who shared his remarkable journey of survival and resilience after a plane crash and severe burns. His story was an inspiring reminder of courage, perseverance, and the strength of the human spirit. Grateful to witness these incredible stories year after year and to celebrate those who continue to make such a profound impact in the field of military medicine. #HeroesOfMilitaryMedicine #SanAntonio #Leadership #Inspiration
