Congratulations to The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey on breaking ground on the AirTrain Newark Replacement Program — a major step toward delivering a new, state-of-the-art automated people mover system that will enhance connectivity at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). HNTB is proud to continue our long-standing partnership with PANYNJ, providing project management, design integration, concept development and design-build oversight review to help bring this transformative #infrastructure program to life. The new AirTrain Newark will replace the existing monorail system with a 2.5-mile, fully automated train designed to improve reliability and meet future demand. Once complete, it will seamlessly link EWR’s terminals, parking, car rental facilities and the Northeast Corridor Rail Line, improving the #transit experience for passengers and the region.
