Meet Chelo Herrero, Service Contract Specialist in Spain, who has spent 35 years helping advance #WomensHealth at Hologic. Chelo joined the company as a secretary and advanced her career through roles in sales, operational management, technical administration and service. “I am truly proud to have contributed to improving the health and quality of life of so many women throughout my career. Because of our work, I always understood the importance of preventative screening. When I developed cancer myself, thankfully, it was detected early.” “What has allowed me to stay with the company for so many years is a combination of commitment, a sense of purpose and the opportunity to work alongside people who share similar values. I've felt my work had a real impact, and that has driven me to continue growing and contributing every day.” #WhyHologic #HologicAt40

A new article in SELF Magazine is drawing attention to the alarming rise in breast cancer rates among younger women. This trend highlights the need for women to know their personal risk factors and discuss screening with their doctors — even before age 40. Young people are more likely to face diagnostic delays for breast cancer, and they also tend to have "more aggressive forms of it, which often means larger tumor size or more advanced cancer stage when they get diagnosed,” said Dr. Amy K. Patel, MD, a breast radiologist and medical director of the Breast Care Center at Liberty Hospital in Kansas City. Myths shouldn’t keep women from getting lifesaving mammograms. That’s why we started our #BustTheMyth campaign — to clear up confusion, share facts and support #EarlyDetection. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lisa Rudnick, our VP of Marketing, talks about why education around breast cancer, mammograms and #WomensHealth matters. She shares how she encourages her daughter, and all women, to put their health first: “Don’t let myths or fear around healthcare choices hold you back. Take the time for yourself. Get your recommended screenings. And if you have questions, ask. There is no shame in wanting to understand your health, and it’s information that could save your life.” Learn more: https://ow.ly/FsC650X5cAn #BreastCancerAwareness
