✈️United Airlines HQ: A Case Study for Experiential Design in the Workspace At the heart of Chicago’s skyline, IA Interior Architects reimagined United Airlines’ Willis Tower headquarters into a living expression of the airline’s purpose: “Connecting people, uniting the world.” 🌎 Storytelling Through Space - From turbine tables to winglet dividers and graphics that interpret global flight paths, authentic aviation elements root the workspace in the spirit of flight. These elements serve as a continuous visual narrative that runs throughout the space. ♻️Sustainability as Experience - Reused furnishings, refurbished materials, and energy-efficient systems transform sustainability from a hypothetical goal to a tangible experience. This redesign diverted over 55,000 lbs of waste from landfills and reduced energy use by 23% 🌀Movement + Flow - Interconnecting stairs and color-coded zones guide people intuitively through the 4 quadrants of this vertical campus. This encourages collaboration, discovery, and a sense of journey that mirrors the rhythm of air travel. 💡A Workspace that Feels United - The result of this design is a holistic expression of United’s brand and culture. Every design decision reinforced the company’s mission and reminds employees that “Good Leads the Way.” 🔗Click here to dive deeper into the redesigned United Airlines HQ: https://lnkd.in/evY2m8xU 📸Photography © Garrett Rowland #ExperientialDesign #WorkplaceDesign #IAInteriorArchitects #BrandStorytelling #SustainableDesign #UnitedAirlines #DesignForConnection #EnvironmentalDesign
