ILS offices and application centers are closed in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day.

Happy #Ombudsman Day! Today we recognize and celebrate ILS’s ombudsmen, who work in long-term care (LTC) facilities to ensure that residents’ rights are respected and that their problems are solved. ILS employs the majority of LTC ombudsmen in the state, and every day they are in long-term care facilities across the state to assist residents who have issues. ILS ombudsmen have the advantage of access to our legal staff, including experts on public benefits and other areas of the law that directly affect persons in LTC facilities. Our ombudsmen can get advice from the legal staff and connect long-term care residents with legal representation when needed. But in most cases, our ombudsmen solve problems on their own and enhance quality of life for long-term care residents every day. It’s difficult work, and we salute them for it.

Cheers to #75 years!! We were honored to among the crowd who celebrated the Indiana Bar Foundation’s milestone at their gala Friday night. All of us at ILS are thankful for the many ways they support our profession and our work.
