About us

The objective of the Interreg Danube Region Programme Danube4Rural.com project is to develop an integrated transnational governance model that supports rural communities in adapting local policies to the needs of remote workers and employer organisations, by piloting three tailored policy packages—quality of life, financial incentives, and regulatory framework—in disadvantaged rural areas across 11 countries.

Within the Hub, he contributes his knowledge of policy design and institutional processes to support better governance and rural innovation. • Saša Karalić - experienced professional in financial and development initiatives, bringing expertise in creating local incentive schemes.   • As part of the AXM – Rural Settlements Together for the Future of Europe project, Municipality of Moravske Toplice had the chance to exchange valuable ideas and best practices with partners from Malta (Xgħajra) and Hungary (Alsómocsolád). Within the workshop discussions, we gained particularly valuable insights from digital nomads and remote workers – especially from our Maltese partners, who shared their experience with the inclusion of digital nomads, a well-established practice and campaign that successfully attracts remote professionals from across Europe and beyond. 💻🌍 These learnings, along with perspectives from all participating partners, will play an important role in shaping the future development of our Danube4Rural.com project – supporting innovation, sustainability, and new opportunities for rural communities along the Danube region. 🌿💡

    Europe is built from the ground up – and it was built in Moravske Toplice! We were delighted to host our friends and partners from Malta (Xgħajra) and Hungary (Alsómocsolád) as part of the AXM – Rural Settlements Together for the Future of Europe project. We’re happy to introduce and welcome the inspiring new members who have become part of the Remote Workers Policy Hub (RWPH) within the Danube4Rural.com project, joining us through the Regionalna razvojna agencija Jug/Regional Development Agency South and the Municipality of Babušnica. Their knowledge, creativity, and commitment to local progress are key to shaping better policies for rural revitalization. We warmly welcome our members: • Municipality of Babušnica – as a local leader in rural development and innovation, the municipality joined the Hub to strengthen its efforts in improving local infrastructure and creating new opportunities for remote professionals to live and work in rural settings. • Tourist Organization of Babušnica – motivated by its mission to showcase the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, the organization aims to integrate tourism and remote work opportunities to enhance the overall quality of life in the area. • Lisca d.o.o. – a dynamic company that values sustainable economic growth and community well-being, joining the Hub to contribute private-sector perspectives on creating jobs and supporting local entrepreneurship. • DELI prostor za kreativno delovanje – as one of the pioneering coworking spaces in southern Serbia, Deli joined the Hub to share valuable experience in building collaborative environments and connecting digital professionals across the region. • Agricultural Household Zlatković – representing the vitality of rural entrepreneurship, this family farm joined to bring in the perspective of rural producers adapting to modern challenges through innovation and digital inclusion. • Associations “Pogled sa juga” and “Lužnički izviđački odred” – motivated by their dedication to youth empowerment and community engagement, these organizations joined the Hub to promote active citizenship and inspire young people to see rural areas as spaces of opportunity and creativity.
