Four years of building bridges, one unforgettable evening ✨🇮🇹 This week marked something special for Italians in VC. Four years ago, we started with a simple mission: connect Italian VC operators around the world. Today, we're 6 committee members, 20+ city leads, hosted 80+ events and over 1,000 members – with founders and operators increasingly joining our events. Full circle. For the fourth year running at Italian Tech Week Torino, we organised a side event. But this year felt different. We launched 'The Venture Convivio' – inspired by the Italian tradition of 'convivium,' where for centuries, the best conversations have happened over great food and wine. We brought together 200 founders and investors from around the world for an invite-only dinner, co-hosted with our friends at Italian Founders Fund, Eurazeo, Base10 Partners, and Rancilio Cube SICAF. The energy was incredible. Real conversations, genuine connections – honestly everything we hoped for. Huge thanks to Bryan Kim (Andreessen Horowitz), Luca Cartechini (Shop Circle), Danila De Stefano (Unobravo), and Inès Makula (Made IT Podcast) for an amazing panel on moving fast in the AI era. And to Yoram Wijngaarde (Dealroom.co) for brilliant insights on Italy's tech journey. Finally, massive kudos to John Elkann, Vento, Italian Tech Week team, and all the amazing volunteers. What started as the place for Italians worldwide is now the best open event in European tech – and it was amazing to see people from all corners of the world. Whether raising your first round or closing your Series A, founders are about to exit, thinking about what to do next, engineers at startups, technical research at the world's biggest tech companies or PhDs at the best universities. Beyond being the largest Italian VC network worldwide, we're building the backbone community of Italian talent across VCs, founders, and operators. What a week at Bolzano Slush’D! 🇮🇹⛰️ Last week we kicked off with our signature investor breakfast event, bringing together the international VC community for warm coffee and even warmer conversations.
