IVETA President SERUMU IGBERADJA represented our organization at the HERizon Fest 2025, a national celebration of women's empowerment through skills and employment, held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Dhaka from 6th - 7th October. The event, organized by the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) with technical assistance from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, brought together over 450 participants, including government officials, development partners, private sector leaders, and civil society representatives. The two-day event focused on promoting dialogue on gender-responsive and inclusive approaches to skills development, with interactive workshops and panel discussions on topics such as: - Gender-responsive competency-based training - Private sector engagement - Equitable access for disadvantaged groups - Inclusive vocational education and future skills for women International experts from Nepal, USA, Austria, Germany, and UNICEF shared global insights, guiding NSDA's strategy to increase labor market participation of young, disadvantaged, and vulnerable women. The event concluded with a strong call for gender-responsive, inclusive, and future-oriented skills development across Bangladesh, reaffirming the country's commitment to gender equality in skills development and building a more inclusive and sustainable workforce.
